AIGA Letterpress Day!

Are you excited for the screening of Pressing On: A Letterpress Film here in Tallahassee? We sure are! Over the weekend your board members got together with Sangha Press in Railroad Square to make two special edition posters for the event. All designers present got hands-on action with the tools of the trade, and the professionals at Sangha made it a day to remember. It was an excellent showcase of the talent and creativity that lives here in Tallahassee’s letterpress community. Check out the full gallery on Facebook!

The modern world was born on a printing press.

Once essential to communication, the 500-year-old process is now in danger of being lost as its caretakers age. From self-proclaimed basement hoarders to the famed Hatch Show Print, Pressing On: The Letterpress Film explores the question: why has letterpress survived in a digital age?

As the date of the film approaches, we are also excited to announce a series of prizes and giveaways that will be presented during the Pressing On screening! All attendees will be entered into a raffle for the chance to win a personal letterpress workshop for two at Sangha Press. In addition, the first 25 attendees will get a 1st edition poster along with their ticket, and 2nd edition posters will be given out at the door until they run out!

We hope you’re all ready for some serious letterpress action. See you at CoLab on Friday, September 29 at 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM.

Check out the Facebook event and buy your tickets now!
